About Us

Providence Fire & Rescue INC. was established in 1961 by a group of concerned citizens in our community. Fund raising efforts began immediately. Over the years we have hosted many fund raising events. In 1995 we established the Providence Spring Fling Festival with live entertainment, food, and family fun for everyone. The festival has grown each year with nationally known artists, such as Exile, T.Graham Brown,  T.G. Sheppard , Confederate Railroad, Kentucky Headhunters , Daryle Singletary, John Anderson and others. The entertainment includes Bluegrass, Rock, Gospel, and Beach groups along with local talent. The Spring Fling is famous for its Central Carolina Style of Barbeque Pork and Chicken enjoyed by thousands. Each year there are numerous Arts and Craft Vendors showing their products to all festival goers. The festival has amusement rides for children, a kickoff parade, various raffles and drawings and a competitive tractor pull.
